The United States Senate is widely expected to vote Thursday to burn up an additional $2 billion in the absurd Cash for Clunkers program.
No logical justification exists for taking money from one person driving a used car and giving it to another who then uses the money to buy an overpriced new car. Once again we have created a program whose success will be forever measured by how much money it can spend.
