Score one for the people!

Rand Paul congratulates Lexington attorney Kent Masterson Brown for his apparent victory Tuesday in a lawsuit against the federal government. At issue in the case is the legality of a Clinton-era practice requiring Medicare-eligible Social Security recipients to join Medicare, which U.S. District Judge Rosemary Collyer determined to be improperly created. Mr. Brown is attorney for a group of plaintiffs who challenged the government’s power to force Americans into the government’s Medicare system.

Rand Paul has repeatedly made clear that he supports greater innovation in health care access and payment options through enhanced personal freedoms, not bigger, more powerful government programs.
