Calling the Fed’s bluff

Rand Paul’s U.S. Senate candidacy has been based on returning political power to the people. Out-of-control Washington D.C. bureaucrats like Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke have gotten too used to believing their own press releases:

“Now more than ever, America needs a strong, nonpolitical and independent central bank with the tools to promote financial stability and to help steer our economy to recovery without inflation,” Bernanke said

.
Nonsense. If the Fed could do that, would we have had a recession for Bernanke to “steer” us out of?

Rand supports auditing the Federal Reserve and putting a stop to endless rhetoric about politicians directing the economy.
