The Freedom Movement has hit Frankfort, Kentucky with twin state legislative efforts (one in the House, one in the Senate) urging state government “to demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers.”

Rand Paul has repeatedly addressed the fact that much of what the federal government does is not constitutional.

Rand said:

“We once had a system of government that was restrained by the Constitution. The Constitution limited the functions of government and we lived with a small government. But that government has gone awry; the government is out of control. We now have a government where politicians, if they can cobble together a majority, think they can do anything.”
