Tuesday on WBKO TV in Bowling Green, Rand Paul responded to his opponent’s desperate whisper campaign and repeated attempts to distort Rand’s support for Kentucky’s coal industry.

“I’m against cap and trade, I’m for reining in the EPA because they are limiting the permitting process, I’m for allowing mountaintop removal of coal,” Rand said.

Rand is very well known for his support of free market capitalism, which of course includes advocating the freedom to use Kentucky’s most efficient energy source as the market demands, rather than making that decision based on bureaucratic mandates.
