Rand Paul urges Kentuckians to remain alert to Washington D.C. politicians’ continued efforts to impose a federal takeover of American health care. The Washington Post reported this morning the White House plans to use recent health insurance premium increases as rationale for resurrecting ObamaCare.

“You have to start the debate at the beginning to decide which direction to go,” Rand Paul said. “Competition works. You need to figure out how to get competition and capitalism into health care. In Washington, their whole debate is ‘how much government are we going to add to the system?’”

Rand Paul has spent his entire campaign advocating for an end to government price-fixing and a reduction of government’s role in health care in order to lower prices, thereby increasing access to health care.
