The Kentucky State Fair is in full swing this week, and Rand Paul has more support in evidence than can be believed. There has been almost constant traffic at the booth for the past week, and thousands of “Rand fans” and bumper stickers have been distributed, along with hundreds of buttons, signs and tshirts. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before… even in the tens of thousands of people, you will frequently spot Rand Paul gear.

In fact, so many items were picked up by the public that three carloads of boxes and supplies had to be shipped in from the Bowling Green Headquarters (which reports say has been stripped clean of everything.) At this point, individuals and coordinators from other areas of the state are scrambling to meet the unexpected demand, though these smaller shipments hardly seem to be making a difference. One Republican official was heard exclaiming with astonishment that they’ve run out of materials all over the state.

And the Democrats? Despite being located in what should be Conway country, the costly, elaborate four-sided booth has had hardly any visitors – and certainly there is not evidence of Conway support in the crowd except for the workers themselves.

Despite the media deception on the CRA and ADA, TONS of those supposed to be negatively effected are actively seeking out Rand Paul gear and supporting him! It appears the enthusiastic Rand Paul volunteers are simply bypassing the media and taking their message directly to each voter… and with great effect.

Had I not seen it myself, and just listened to the media and the polls, I really could not have believed it. There is something BIG going on…. and the surging momentum is unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed.

Let’s keep running like we’re 10% behind and send shock-waves across the nation when we DESTROY the Establishment in spite of all their power and media control! Nothing like this has ever been done in recent history, and we’re all a part of making it happen! This is AMAZING!!!

Setting the Record Straight On Balanced Budgets

Bowling Green, Kentucky – Despite recent reports by the media that misrepresent Dr. Paul’s stance on balancing the federal budget, Dr. Paul has remained consistent on the need to have both a Balanced Budget Amendment, and to introduce a balanced budget.

Dr. Paul’s fight will begin by changing the rules. He believes the best way to fix the budget, and force legislators to behave better, is to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment with strict tax and spend limits.

He will do this immediately in the U.S. Senate.

Dr. Paul will also vote against and filibuster any unbalanced budget.

In addition, Dr, Paul will also, as a tool to expose overspending politicians, introduce a series of budgets over 5 years to put porkers on the record and show Kentuckians their true colors. He will begin by offering a one year balanced budget plan. Should this bill not succeed, he will continue to offer 2, 3, 4 and 5 year balanced budget plans to expose big spending politicians for what they are.

This fight is the reason Dr. Paul ran for U.S. Senate, and it will be his main priority in Washington.

Any report you see to the contrary is yet another drive-by journalist either willfully pushing a distorted story, or simply unable to comprehend the type of change Dr. Paul will bring to Washington.

Rand Paul Will Fight Proposed EPA Ban on Ammunition: Where Is Jack?

The EPA is considering a petition by environmentalists to ban ammunition containing lead. It may sound outlandish, but with Obama’s EPA you never know what they may decide to regulate next.

The EPA is already out to get Kentucky’s coal industry through the back-door with climate legislation like Cap and Trade. This would cost Kentucky families dearly in lost jobs and wages in this bad economy.

Rand Paul will work to stop the EPA from killing Kentucky jobs, and stop the Obama administration from trying to regulate away our freedoms. Dr. Paul wants to sunset all wrongheaded regulations by the EPA. That’s why Kentucky needs send Rand Paul to the Senate; he is the only one who will stand up against the out of control feds.

Rand Paul Money Bomb Raises Over $250,000

Paul’s “money bomb” has raised over $250,000 for the campaign in just two days.

Dr. Paul has made a great success of tapping into a large base of donors over the past year, and this is just another example of the campaign’s fund raising proficiency and wide base of support.

Paul W. Collins, a singer/songwriter/artist from Kentucky, learned about Rand Paul because of his son Joshua who is a senior at Northern Kentucky University. Paul and his band VELVET SOUL decided they could help spread Rand’s message by writing the “Rand Paul Song” which is spreading throughout the Nation.

Obama Not Concerned About Kentucky Coal Families

Bowling Green, Kentucky – Rand Paul spoke at a rally celebrating coal today to a large crowd in Hindman, Kentucky.

Paul criticized the Obama administration’s lack of concern for Kentucky due to its perceived hostility to Kentucky’s coal industry.

“Obama is stifling the coal industry and costing people jobs,” Paul said. “His agenda is making hard-working Kentucky families suffer even more in an already bad economy.”

Gary Howard has been added as the campaign’s Press Secretary. Howard, who has previously worked as a staffer in the U.S. Senate and political communications professional, will help manage media relations for the candidate through to the general election.

“Gary will be a great addition to our team,” said Jesse Benton, campaign manager of Rand Paul for US Senate. “He has some good experience and can help us quite a bit as we roll forward to the general election push.”

There will be further announcements in the coming weeks as new members are added to the team

Not your typical politician – Rand’s plan

An agenda unlike any politician in the country

Dear Patriot,

Sometimes, the political process makes us all just a bit cynical and jaded — my self included. We look at what the Washington DC establishment — the career politicians, the corporate lobbyists, and the entrenched bureaucracy has brought us, and we throw up our hands, thinking, they’re all the same.

I don’t like to yell too loud, or beat my chest. But I want to take a moment to remind you why I am not your typical politician, and why this is not a typical campaign or movement.

Among the many reasons:

I will never, ever vote for a taxpayer bailout of a private industry. Whether it’s big banks, automakers, or any other industry — you succeed or fail on your own.

I will not vote for an unbalanced budget. I will not vote for a tax increase. Ever.

I will fight for new rules like a Balanced Budget Amendment and Term Limits.

I will not take ANYTHING off the table in the fight to balance the budget. Anyone who says something like they will “freeze non-defense discretionary spending” is blowing smoke at you and hoping you won’t notice. That would balance the budget — MAYBE — in about 80 years.

We have to keep our promises to seniors and keep our country strong, but every area has things that can be cut. Every agency has things that are duplicative or that could be done better or cheaper.

I will propose and force a vote on an Enumerated Powers Act, to force Congress to point to the part of the Constitution that justifies their bills.

I will fight for the Bill of Rights. Democrats often love the 4th amendment. Republicans the 2nd. I will fight for them all, which means fighting for your free speech, gun rights, and civil liberties. Laws that infringe on ANY of these make the federal government more powerful, and we cannot continue to allow that.

I will not allow our troops to be the world’s policeman, and I will force a vote on a Declaration of War if any President seeks to commit our military to battle.

What you’ve just read above is an agenda unlike any politician in the country. While solidly conservative, it also shows first, a great loyalty to the Constitution and to our freedom. You cannot fight for liberty while voting for bills that embolden the state. You cannot fight for some of our founding rights without others. And you cannot enable change in Washington by sending the same old people there.

For anyone who thinks elections don’t matter, or all candidates are the same, I urge you to read this one more time. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that few candidates running for office this year will so fully embrace this agenda of freedom and prosperity, of fighting the power of the federal government while working to ensure that the rights of Americans are restored.
