The Money Bombs in late 2007 put the founding ideals of limited government back in the news. No longer can a politician simply put an “R” beside their name and magically transform into a conservative.   In order to hold that sacred moniker, a politician must vote for the things conservatives stand for and believe in.  These inlcude a belief in limited government, sound money and personal and economic liberty.  Ron Paul’s presidential campaign created a strong coalition of conservative groups that came together in support of these principles.  His son, Rand Paul-inspired by his father’s run for office-is seeking to replace retiring Senator Jim Bunning.  Senator Bunning-known for his strong criticisms of The Federal Reserve-has a fellow anti-Fed follower, Rand Paul, trying to follow in his footsteps.

The American Conservative, one of the nation’s premier conservative magazines, takes a look at the liberty candidates attempting to pick up the torch in 2010.
