While Rand Paul was visiting supporters in Campbellsville all day Wednesday, donors from across Kentucky continued to pour money into his winning campaign. That’s good, because Rand’s opponent is still spending hundreds of thousands from bailout lobbyists attacking Rand.
With a $500 donation from a prominent Western Kentucky businessman, $25 from a retiree in Lexington, $50 from a retiree in Middleboro, and $25 from a Falmouth retiree in just the last few minutes helping add to a $300,000 month for the campaign, it’s clear that Rand’s opponent’s effort to scare seniors is not working.
Rand leads in all independent polling based on the public’s readiness to turn away from professional politicians and toward a physician from Bowling Green who will shake up the establishment in Washington D.C.
