Paul Supporters Taking Action

Last weekend, unbeknownst to the campaign, more than a dozen grassroots supporters of Rand Paul met in the Sonoma Coffee Café in Louisville, Kentucky.

These goal-oriented supporters were determined to put Rand in office and did not seem deterred by the fact that he had not officially announced his candidacy. Many ideas were passed around, and several volunteers took on the roles of designing campaign materials, locating good events at which to spread the message, and keeping up to date information available to any who wish to be involved.

Unlike the political heavyweights that characterize many campaigns, these were local folks who felt motivated by the rare candidate who they felt they could rely on to reduce the size of government and taxation and to defend the Constitution against great pressure.

Even this early in exploratory efforts, support for Rand Paul’s candidacy seems to be growing rapidly. How many other such meetings might be going on around the state? With efforts like these, Kentucky may just find itself represented by a new champion of the Constitution next year!
