Going cold turkey off pork

A recent national poll sheds light on Rand Paul’s Republican primary ascendancy in Kentucky’s 2010 U.S. Senate race. Rasmussen Reports found only one third of voters believe this year’s “stimulus” spending has helped the economy.

Increasing awareness of government spending schemes’ folly is a good sign for Rand’s campaign and a great sign for Kentuckians who already understand we can’t tax-and-spend or borrow-and-spend our way to prosperity.

Rand Paul believes leaving more of Kentuckians’ money in their hands is the best way to improve the economy. Government has a terrible track record of manipulating people into widespread wealth unless it just gets out of the way. Rand Paul is the best candidate to explain that to Kentucky’s pork-addicted voters.
