A warm group of over 50 people braved a torrential downpour in Shepherdsville to hear Rand deliver an impassioned speech on why following the Constitution is critical to righting our country’s course. Rand covered many issues, including governmental reform, cap & trade and free market health care solutions.
During the question and answer section, the Federal Reserve was discussed at some length, as Rand explained the dramatic role the Fed had in causing our financial crisis, and why reigning it in might be one of the most crucial objectives of our time.
Answering other questions from the audience, Rand elaborated on his efforts to grow the party and support Jimmy Higdon. Shortly after the Q&A concluded, word was received that in spite of being outspent nearly 5 to 1, Jimmy had won his race handily - at which the room erupted in spontaneous celebration.
