During the Bush administration, there was never a balanced budget, national debt doubled, the federal government significantly grew, and the bailouts began. In addition to supporting Bush, Bailey also chaired John McCain’s presidential campaign in Kentucky. According to the National Taxpayers Union, McCain would’ve increased federal spending, and in late 2008, McCain voted for the $700 billion Wall St. bailout.

Dr. Rand Paul has always been critical of the big spending ways of George W. Bush, John McCain, and other Republicans who claim the mantle of fiscal responsibility. Rand doesn’t tolerate huge budget deficits, skyrocketing debt, massive bailouts, and an ever expansive federal government. A new Republican is in town, a Republican that won’t spend us into oblivion like the last 8 years.
